Why mix pips?

Dice games are based on the random selection of a face of the die when it's rolled. The most common form is the cubic die with spots or pips from 1 to 6 per face, opposite sides adding up to 7. The chance of throwing any of these numbers is 1:6.

Here comes the change: what if you could rearrange those 21 pips and so alter the numbers displayed on the die, at the same time altering chances. Displaying a number more than once increases chances. On the other hand, removing a number practically sets chances to zero.

It's a bit like loading a die: you are skewing the result of throwing. But, unlike playing with a secretly loaded die, here mixing is done openly and throughout the game. Mixing has certain restrictions and follows game rules. In fact, mixing is the core of the game since better pipmixing strategy leads to the highest chances of throwing the wanted number..

dice pips
On ordinary cubic dice spots or pips from 1 to 6 appear on the sides or faces. Opposite sides always add up to 7.

rolling dice
When you roll a die it will stop randomly on any side - numbers from 1 to 6 randomly appear on top.

loaded dice
Crooked or loaded dice preferentially stop on one side - preferentially and non-randomly selecting the same number again and again.
